Andrew Horrall visits Patoka

On Thursday 12th September Andrew Horrall visited our school. He is a current member of the Hawkes Bay Magpies and the Chiefs Super 15 team. Lately he has not been playing because of an injury but he was due to play against Northland in the weekend.

We were able to ask him a number of questions and get some key points from him about rugby. He said that to be an All Black we need to be able to catch and pass. Good advice!

After our question session Andrew had a run with the rugby players and then played with the children at lunchtime. We presented him with our very own version of the Ranfurly Shield.

While we were disappointed not see other players, Andrew spent a lot of time with us which was great.
